It was once open-source, btw. It was closed for unknown to me reasons //sandos
Many have changed since then... but I am not telling any news probably... //Herodes
Performance of debug builds
- Unfortunately only debug builds can be found on the website, I think that drops the performance much //FleetCommand
- Performance drop is only 2 % on cpu usage with 2500 users on 700 MHz AMD Duron cpu // PPK
- Some told me that with Lua-scripts and 4000+ users, it's significant. But I can't test it, since we don't have a Windows hub-server unfortunately (however, I love ptokax, we used it when we had windows-based machine.. but that was a quite long ago) // FC
- PtokaX 0.3.4.0a [debug] (actual testing version) today (10-Feb-2006) break 5000 users barrier with 23 % cpu usage on AMD Athlon 64 3100+, 98.71 MB memory usage and 101.03 MB VM size. This is aceptable for me... // PPK

The link given (www.ptokax.org) is dead. Is there another URL? --TheParanoidOne 01:41, 20 February 2006 (EST)
- The whois seems to indicate both that it is expired and that it has been renewed. I wonder if the registrar did that to allow the original registrant to renew without having their domain swiped? --GargoyleMT 07:54, 20 February 2006 (EST)
