GLO-Search

GLO-Search is a closed-source multi-hub search-only DC client. Made by aDe in Visual Basic 6.

It searches all hubs, found by combining several hublists. It uses a static nickname, in order for hubowners to have a choice of whether or not to let their hub be searched with this tool. It is common that hubowners block this tool because they believe some of the arguments againt these tools such as that the client searching will only connect to the hub briefly to get the download started, and then leave. Another view of it is that hubs actually gain users if they offer quality content.

GLO-Search was first released in April, 2002, inspired by dcsearch, which was slow and outdated. Since then, MOS++ search client has also been released, and the two authors teamed up and released the moglo search client.
